Geek Love Wine - 2009/02/07

Finally getting around to putting the outline of the “DC Geeks Love Wine” tasting together. I am planning on having between 20 and 25 people at this event. To do this wine tasting properly, we need about 10 - 14 different bottles of wines of which we need two of each so everyone can try a little of each of them. There will be more wine for after the offical tasting is done so we can finish up all the food.

The following is the important information about the DC Geeks Love Wine tasting, like when it will be starting and where it will be taking place.

The final piece of importat information is the price which will be $40 per person or $70 per couple. Don't forget if you or your spouse, girlfriend, boyfriend, or whatever don't drink wine come out an mingle.

No, Martin you can't bring Michael (Dick) as your other person to make a couple. Not that their is anything wrong with that.

We can work out a payment paln for those that might need one, due to the economy or not getting paid until next week. I would much rather have you there than not, since I have purchased between $400 to $500 worth of wine and still need to get a few hundred dollars worth of food.

Please send me a direct message on Twitter - @jfc3 or and e-mail at jacobboomer [at] msn [dot] com, since I need a final count of whose coming and how much to get. Pleasetell me how many people are coming with you.

We will probably start with a Cramant champagne (blanc de blanc and/or a rose), while waiting for everyone to show up.

Planning on having the following food items at the wine tasting.

  1. Cured Italian meats
    1. Pepperoni
    2. Soppressata

    1. Brie
    2. Smoked Gouda
